The hit HBO show ‘Big Little Lies‘ is finally back with its highly-anticipated second season. What better way to hype up for it than immersing yourself in the show’s kooky world of rich suburban moms and murder mysteries, right?
Luckily, fans of the show can now do that as one of the houses featured on the series is finally available for rent.
The television-famous property in question is the stunning beach house that the character, Madeline Mackenzie, who is portrayed by Reese Witherspoon, owns.

Made as a Cape Cod-style house, the spacious 6,000 square foot main house has seven bedrooms, which is plenty of room to accommodate a family (or two). The place’s listing says that it can comfortably house up to 12 people.
The beachfront estate also comes with a Jacuzzi, a dining area with views of the ocean, a breakfast bar, and a chef’s kitchen. Sounds fantastic, right? Well, expect nothing less from Monterey’s resident sassy and hands-on mom.
Aside from the main house, the property also has extra living quarters in the form of a 950 square feet separate guest house. The beach house is listed by Malibu Luxury Vacation Homes which is renting it out at a rate of $3,000 to $5,000 per night.
One Small Catch
Speaking of the Malibu Luxury Vacation Homes, there’s just one little catch about the place. You see, while the show is set in Monterey, California, the real-life beach house is actually located in one of Malibu’s most exclusive beaches.
However, it doesn’t change the fact that renters will still get to live, sleep, and eat in the same house that Madeline Mackenzie and her family do. Renters can also recreate some of the show’s most important Mackenzie family scenes in the home’s modern kitchen.
What more, fans of the show can emulate the characters’ rich suburban mom lifestyle as the rental agency also offers some fantastic services from yoga instructors, cleaning services to private chefs. A babysitter is also on call for parents with younger kids who want to enjoy a night out.
House Rankings
In a recent ‘definitive ranking list’ that Vice’s Garage made, the publication ranked the beach house last among the many beautiful houses featured on the show. But while it may not be the most innovatively designed home, it’s actually the most expensive. It has a current reported value of $14.8 million.
Ranking first though is Renata Klein’s modern glass house. Like the beach house, this television-famous property is also located in Malibu instead of Monterey. What more, the house boasts of a long list of ‘acting’ credits having been featured in other shows like ‘Brothers & Sisters’, ‘Revenge’ and ‘90210’.
